Venezuelan forward Edward Enrique Morillo’s second-half volley helped Police FC edge past Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra 1-0 at Kings Arena Saturday.
A long throw-in of Manas Karipov was headed back by Rasel Hossain to man-of-the-match Morillo who smashed home with a powerful strike from outside the six-yard box in the 65th minute.
With the win, Police leapfrogged Sheikh Russel and Abahani Limited to third spot where they concluded last year’s campaign, their best Bangladesh Premier League finish till date.
