Bangladesh men’s football team climbed six places in the latest Fifa rankings where they are now ranked 183rd, their best position in four years.
The men in red and green’s average ranking was 192 last year.
They remained 192nd in April and June this year before moving to 189th in July.
Javier Cabrera’s side played out a couple of draws against higher-ranked Afghanistan in September.
They drew away and won at home against higher-ranked Maldives in the World Cup pre-qualifier playoffs this month.
Bangladesh currently have 912.6 points, which is 18.37 more than the previous ranking.
World champions Argentina retained top spot with a total of 1861.29 points, followed by France.
