Bangladesh Football Federation Friday announced the 23-man squad for the SAFF Championship 2023 and international friendly against Cambodia as there was no place for Eleta Kingsley.
Nigeria-born Bangladesh striker Kingsley was included in the preliminary 35-member and 30-man list for the initial camps but couldn't make it into the final squad.
Masuk Mia Jony, Tutul Hossain Badshah, Shahriar Emon, Sazzad Hossain, Rimon Hossain and Mehedi Hasan Srabon were also excluded from the previous list.
Shekh Morsalin, Alomgir Molla and Rafiqul Islam made it to the national team squad for the first time.
Bangladesh will play a FIFA friendly against hosts Cambodia next Thursday for which they will leave Dhaka for Phnom Penh Saturday.
Javier Cabrera's side will also play a practice match Monday against Cambodian local club Tiffy Army FC.
They will fly directly to Bengaluru, India from Phnom Penh for the SAFF Championship, scheduled to be held from June 21 to July 4.
The men in red and green will kick off their campaign against Lebanon on June 22 before facing Maldives three days later.
They will conclude the Group B fixtures against Bhutan on June 28.
