Bangladesh Football Federation president Kazi Salahuddin termed the recent departure of a couple of national female footballers and women's team head coach as “rule of the world” after an emergency executive committee meeting Monday.
The meeting at the BFF House however, was called for different purpose, regarding the first ever women's franchise football league, previously scheduled to begin on May 15 before being deferred.
It was announced that the franchise league titled Bangladesh Women's Super League is rescheduled to kick off on June 10 with the participation of four teams.
Salahuddin also replied to a question related to the retirement of national striker Sirat Jahan Shopna and departure of key defender Akhi Khatun from the camp, as well as the resignation of head coach Golam Rabbani Choton within three days.
He told reporters, “The girls will leave and come. It's the rule of the world. When (Diego) Maradona was not there, (Lionel) Messi came in. Messi is also leaving his club (Paris Saint Germain). (Cristiano) Ronaldo has come to Saudi Arabia. It's a come and go process.
“The coach resigns and will be replaced by a new coach. Then the coach again might get sacked and new one will arrive. This is normal. Nobody is permanent here.”
While answering a different query, Salahuddin said they received the resignation letter of Choton and will discuss the issue in the next board meeting.
