Jamal on verge of historic move to Argentine club Sol de Mayo

National football team captain Jamal Bhuiyan is set to become the first ever Bangladeshi to join an Argentine club after agreeing terms with Torneo Federal A side Sol de Mayo, according to various sources on twitter.

Midfielder Jamal will soon travel to Buenos Aires to join pre-season training, according to reports.

Torneo Federal A is one of two professional leagues, the other being Primera B Metropolitana, that form the third level/division of the Argentine football league system.

Midfield anchor Jamal, who has 68 international caps, featured for a host of clubs in Bangladesh, including Saif Sporting Club, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club and Chittagong Abahani, and also played club football in Denmark having been born in Copenhagen.

A couple of years ago, the 32-year old also turned out for Indian outfit Kolkata Mohammedan on loan.
