Borussia Dortmund's 18-year old English midfielder Jude Bellingham has broken the record for the youngest goal-scorer in consecutive Champions League matches, previously held by Paris Saint Germain's French forward Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe was 18 years and 85 days when he scored in back-to-back Champions League matches for Monaco in March 2017, but Bellingham broke the record by seven days when he scored in the 2-1 away win over Besiktas Wednesday.
Prior to Wednesday, Bellingham also netted in Dortmund's quarter-final second leg against Manchester City last season, a tie City won 4-2 on aggregate.
With his first half strike against Besiktas, Bellingham also became the youngest ever Englishman to score an away goal in the Champions League, a record previously belonging to Liverpool's Trent Alexander Arnold, who was 19 years and 10 days when he netted against Maribor in October 2017.
