Bangladesh U-16 girls end Japan tour with win

Bangladesh U-16 girls' team registered their first win in their last practice match of the Japan tour when they outplayed Seisho High School 3-1 in Osaka, Japan on Friday. Captain Srimoti Krishna Rani Sarkar put her side ahead two minutes before the half-hour mark before Kaho Yo Magochi equalised five minutes after resumption. Forward Anuching Marma gave the visiting side the lead again five minutes later before midfielder Marzia Akter sealed victory five minutes before the end of stipulated time. Bangladesh, who lost their first two practice matches against host Sakai Academy, are scheduled to return to Dhaka on Saturday. They left Dhaka for Japan last week. The week-long tour is part of their preparation for the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship 2017, slated for September in Thailand. The Bengal girls are also likely to tour South Korea and Vietnam in July and August before the final event.RESULTBangladesh U16 3 (Krishna 28, Anuching 55, Marzia 85) 1 Seisho High School (Kaho 50)
