Kings hit seven in Women’s Football League

Bashundhara Kings players resumed from where they had left off before the Covid-19 pandemic as they thrashed FC Uttar Banga 7-0 in the Women’s Football League at Kamalapur’s Bir Sreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium Saturday.

Srimoti Krishna Rani Sarkar bagged a brace while Sheuli, Tahura Khatun, Munni, Monika Chakma and Sabina Khatun, who now has league-leading 16 goals, scored one apiece for the table-topper Kings.

All the seven goals came in the second half as unbeaten Kings lead the standing with maximum 18 points from six matches, while Uttar Banga have seven points from five games.

The Women’s Football League resumed after a seven-month hiatus due to the novel coronavirus outbreak.
