Bebeto’s baby now grown up, signs for Sporting Lisbon

Remember back at the 1994 World Cup In America when Brazil ace Bebeto scored against Holland and performed his famous ‘cradling a baby’ celebration? Well, it might make you feel old to know that the newborn baby that inspired that famous moment is now a fully grown adult – and he has just signed for Sporting Lisbon for £3.5 million. Bebeto's son  Mattheus Oliveira, 22, signed a five-year contract with the Portuguese giants after completing a medical on Monday. The attacking midfielder was reportedly the subject of a battle between Sporting and Benfica. He has been playing with Estoril in Portugal’s Primeira Liga for the last year after joining from Brazilian club Flamengo in 2015. Oliviera scored two goals in 26 appearances for Estoril.
