Former national forward Zahid Hossain seemed to have been finding his old mojo with Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club who bagged their biggest win of the season, second in a row, beating Arambagh Krira Sangha 4-1 in their Bangladesh Premier League Football match in Dhaka Tuesday.
Zahid, who contributed for both goals during 2-1 win over Muktijoddha last match, assisted twice against struggling Arambagh and earned a penalty that was squandered while the passing and crossing accuracy too reminded his old form.
The 31-year-old, who started on right wing, created a couple of chances before the opening goal, with a clever pass and precise pass respective for Ballo Famoussa but the Ivorian winger denied by a fine save in the 13th minute before mishitting the other over the bar.

Famoussa, however rectified his mistakes in the 22nd minute to break the deadlock almost similar composition but this time his neat header found the net from a delicious cross of Zahid.
Arambagh equalized the margin ten minutes later when an unmarked Eleta Kingsley tapped home in a cross of Mostofa Mahmoud from far left side.
Jamal went ahead again at the stroke of the first half as Famoussa exhibited great skill to control a long lob from Solomon Kanform inside the box before sending it over the keeper from a tight angle.
Zahid, who began the second half in right midfield, earned a penalty in the 52nd minute when he was brought down by goalkeeper Rakibul Islam Shaon but Gambian forward Solomon King shot straight to the keeper from the spot.
Solomon’s low header following a dip-laying cross of Mozammel Hossain Nira sneaked through the keeper and defender Salauddin to extend the lead at the hour mark.
It was Zahid again whose corner allowed Gambian striker Pa Omar Jobe to score from a goalmouth scramble and kill the game with 15 minutes left to play. Zahid substituted off five minutes later.
“My performance is just like before and it feels good to help the team win two consecutive matches. I’m not worried about scoring goals but happy to create goals for others,” said Zahid, who played his last match for the national team four years ago during the Bangabandhu Gold Cup 2016.
