2017 Marcel-BSJC Media Cup Football: BTV, Channel i, SA TV, Baishakhi reach quarters

Bangladesh Television, Channel i, SA TV and Baishakhi TV reached the quarter-finals of the 2017 Marcel-BSJC Media Cup Football (six-a-side) Tournament after winning their respective group stage matches in the event's third day at M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in Paltan on Tuesday. BTV defeated RisingBD 2-0 in the first match of the day, Channel i edged past BDNews24 1-0 in the fourth game, SA TV outplayed Jamuna TV 3-0 before Baishakhi defeated The Daily Star 4-1 in the last match to seal their places in the last eight. In the day’s other games, ATN Bangla and NewsBangladesh played out a goalless draw while Inqilab earned a comfortable 3-0 win over GTV. Dhaka Tribune will take on NewsBangladesh in Wednesday's first match.
