University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) have become champions of the BUFT Bangabandhu Gold Cup Inter-University 9-A-Side Football Tournament 2019.
A total of 18 university teams participated in the tournament organized by BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) at their permanent campus in Ashulia, Savar.
ULAB beat BUFT 4-0 in the final match. ULAB defender midfielder Chinmoy Roy scored 2 goals in the first half and striker Shorif Ahmed Shoshy and winger Zakirul Islam scored 1 goal each in the second half to win the championship trophy.
ULAB goalkeeper Azizur Rahman Piyash was named man-of-the-match and best keeper of the tournament for his excellent saves. At the closing ceremony, ULAB was awarded the champion's trophy and a cash prize of Tk50,000.
