Bangladesh U-16 women’s football team registered their second victory in their week-long China tour when they beat host Shaanxi Provincial U-15 side comfortably by 3-0 at the Xi’an Olympic Sports Village Football ground on Tuesday.
Razia Khatun, Anuching Marma and Sirat Jahan Shopna netted one goal apiece to ensure Bangladesh’s second straight victory against the same side following their 4-1 win on Sunday.
The Bangladesh girls will play their fifth and final friendly against China U-14 team on Wednesday before returning home.
According to statistics and descriptions provided by the BFF, the girls in red and green dominated the game with a possession of 65%. Bangladesh went ahead early in the game through Razia in the ninth minute after Anuching’s initial effort was blocked by an opposition defender.
It was Anuching who doubled the lead in the 26th minute. Following a brilliant lobbed pass from Akhi Khatun, Anuching ran past her markers before going up against the Chinese goalkeeper in a one-on-one situation. Anuching made no mistake rifling home past the custodian.
Shopna made it 3-0 to complete the rout in the 76th minute; her pace and skill outclassing the opponent defenders, along with the netminder.
The game was played in three phases; each containing 30 minutes. The home side got a golden chance in the first half but Bangladesh keeper Ruksana Begum’s quick reflexes denied the effort.
