BFF rejects Fakirapool’s appeal

An executive committee meeting of the federation presided by its chief Kazi Salahuddin was held at the BFF House on Monday where it was also decided that Fakirapool will have to take part in the second tier Bangladesh Championship League in the upcoming season. The committee also decided, the eleven players in Fakirapool squad who were included in the promotion binding will be free agent and can join any club. Fakirapool, the Motijheel based club, promoted to the top tier football for the first time in the club history after emerging as champions in the Championship League in early January this year. They were supposed to play in the premier league scheduled to kick off on June 12 but earlier on Saturday, The club sent a letter to BFF stating that they want to skip the upcoming season due to financial and organising problems and play from the next season.
