Reigning champion Bangladesh took the exit door from the Saff U-15 Championship 2019 after a Himanshu Jangra treble saw them concede a 4-0 defeat against host India in their last match of the opening round at Kalyani Stadium in the Nadia district of West Bengal, India Thursday.
Bangladesh finished third in the five-team points table following the end of the round robin league, while India and Nepal reached the final after being placed among the top two finishers.
India lead the standing with 12 points, three more than Nepal, while Bangladesh ended their campaign on six points, winning their first two matches but losing the last two.
India and Nepal will vie for the title in the grand finale Saturday.

The visiting side couldn’t resist the confident home side, who scored a total of 17 goals in their previous three matches.
Jangra opened the scoring in the 29th minute before completing his hat-trick, adding two more in the 74th and 79th minute.
All of Jangra’s goals came through headed attempts from set-pieces.
Renedy Mettei Yumnam killed the game off in the 90th minute after converting a long-range free-kick.

Bangladesh, the champion in the 2015 and 2018 editions, kicked off the campaign on a high note with a 5-2 win over Bhutan before handing Sri Lanka another big margin (7-1) defeat.
They conceded their first loss against Nepal 4-1 in the last match.
Bangladesh head coach Mostafa Anwar Parvez Babu said, “We conceded some silly goals but the boys fought hard. We will take lessons from this and try to rectify them in the upcoming tournaments.”
