Jamal suspended for one game

Saif Sporting Club captain Jamal Bhuiyan Sunday was handed a one-game suspension by the disciplinary committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation for breaching the code of conduct.

Jamal earlier received a show-cause letter from the BFF on July 23 for making an open comment against the referee during an interview with a TV channel.

The national midfielder apologized to the federation in his reply to the letter two days later.

The 29-year old will now miss Saif’s next game against new champion Bashundhara Kings in Mymensingh Monday.

Jamal couldn’t play his side’s previous game against Nofel Sporting club Tuesday after receiving a red card at the end of their match against Abahani Limited on July 20.
