Footballers practice for Laos encounter

Bangladesh football team have started to practice for their forthcoming Qatar World Cup pre-qualifiers match against Laos, set to take place Tuesday at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.

The men in red and green earned a brilliant away victory by a margin of 1-0 at Laos Thursday and will look forward to completing their job by picking up a victory on aggregate.

The booters, who arrived late Friday from Laos, underwent a practice session Saturday afternoon at the BNS where they honed their skills.

In the Asia zone, the teams ranked from 35 to 46 are divided in six pairs and the winner of each pair after the two-leg home and away games will qualify for the next round.

They will join the top 34 teams and a total of 40 teams will be divided in eight groups for the next round.

The group leaders and best runners-up side will play the third round of qualifications.

These qualification matches will also determine the teams for the Asian Cup 2023.
