Bangladesh Women's Football team was knocked out from the 2019 SAFF Women's Championship as they were beaten 4-0 by India on Wednesday at Sahid Rangsala Stadium, Biratnagar, Nepal.
India, the undisputed best in the region enriched their record even further as they dominated the match from the beginning in pursuit of their fifth championship in the fifth edition of the tournament.
As a matter of fact, this was India’s 20th win in 21 matches at Saff Women’s Championships and on another occasion they drew with Bangladesh.
This was also the ninth win for India in the 10th match against Bangladesh.
Once again India proved to be physically superior and have better trained female players with a yawning gap with their counterparts.
In the other semifinal, hosts Nepal earned a commendable win with the same 4-0 margin as they crushed Sri Lanka in the same venue.
Both semifinal winners, who have kept a 100 percent record so far in the tournament, will face off in the final on Friday at Rangasala.
Despite the heavy defeat Bangladesh made a good start as they could keep the ball under control and went for attacks. The girls in red and green earned a corner in the 10th minute but could not capitalise on it.
However, the strong Indian side did not take much time to regroup and take the authority. Dalima Chhibber made a powerful free kick in the 15th minute but that could only brush the post.

It took only three more minutes to break the deadlock as Dalima tapped one in after Bangladesh goalkeeper Rupna Chakma failed to grab a corner kick of Sanju Yadav properly.
Bangladesh got a great chance to bring back parity in the 21st minute but Krishna Rani Sakar’s shot hit a defender and Sirat Jahan Swapna squandered the opportunity as she took a weak shot off the rebound.
That was perhaps the last moment of Bangladesh’s hope as India became ruthless and Indumathi Kathiresan made it 2-0 in the next minute after making a one-two with Sanju.
Rupna saved a Sanju shot in the 28th minute but Indumati scored her second in the 32nd minute when she got Rupna in a one-on-one position after receiving a cross from Sandhiya Ranganathan.
Bangladesh went into the break with a deficit of 3-0 and their coach made three changes in the second half but that could not stop India from dominating.
Manisha Panna scored in the final minute of the injury time to complete the rout.
