Bangladesh Olympic women’s team will be looking forward to bouncing back when they face an experienced India in their second match in the first round of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Asian qualifiers at Thuwunna Stadium in Rangoon, Myanmar Sunday at 2:30pm, Bangladesh standard time.
Head coach Golam Rabbani Choton wants his charges to rectify the mistakes from the sorry 5-0 defeat against top-ranked Myanmar in the opening encounter of Group C, and utilise the experience against the south Asian champion.
“India are a proven entity at this level in south Asia. They have senior and experienced players. Although we are a younger side, the girls have been playing together for a long time. We learned a lot from the first game against Myanmar. Hopefully it would be a competitive game.” said Choton.
