Palestine went through to the final of Bangabandhu Gold Cup 2018 by beating Bangladesh in the semifinal at the Bir Shrestha Ruhul Amin Stadium in Cox’s Bazar but their coach praised the fight of the hosts after the game on Wednesday.
Bangladesh lost the match by two goals, one scored just in the third minute and the other in the last minute of injury time, but their players fought hard throughout the game against a much higher-ranked Palestine side.
Palestine coach Noureddine Ould Ali showered praise on the young Bangladeshi outfit.

“The margin was not the real scenario of the match Bangladesh’s number 9 [Nabib Newaj] is very good striker. We played long ball and came out successfully after scoring two goals,” said the winning coach to the media.
The coach however said they did some homework and were cautious about the fighting spirit of Bangladesh side.
“We watched two matches of Bangladesh and we knew what would be the scenario in today’s match and we were prepared for that,” said the coach.

Palestine will play the final of the tournament at the Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka on Friday against Tajikistan and their coach was looking forward to clinching the coveted silverware.
“It was a final before the final and now we are looking forward to winning the title even though we have to play the final within a gap of 24 hours,” said Noureddine after the semifinal victory.
