Bangladesh top-flight outfit Bashundhara Kings will lock horns with Maldives League champion New Radiant Club in a Fifa international club friendly at Sheikh Kamal Stadium in Nilphamari Friday. The match begins at 4pm.
The Kings, established in 2013, secured promotion to the top tier last year and have a formidable squad for the friendly with a mixture of quality local and foreign players, including Costa Rican forward Daniel Colindres, who featured for the Ticos at the 2018 Russia World Cup.
New Radiant on the other hand will meet a known face in the Kings dugout in the shape of Spanish coach Oscar Bruzon, who previously managed the Maldives club.
Several Maldives national team players feature in the New Radiant line-up, alongside a few foreign players.
The Nilphamari venue will host only its second ever match, after the Fifa international friendly between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka on August 29 this year. The capacity of the venue is 21,500.
