Bangladesh girls will look to keep their winning run going in the AFC U-16 Women's Championship qualification when they take on the United Arab Emirates at Bir Sreshtha Shaheed Sipahi Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Dhaka Friday afternoon.
Bangladesh, who are pitted in Group F, have won their first two matches, beating Bahrain and Lebanon 10-0 and 8-0 respectively. The host nation are expected to continue the winning run as they beat the same opponent 4-0 in the previous tournament.
Bangladesh U-16 women’s team head coach Golam Rabbani Choton expressed confidence on the eve of the clash.
“I am content with the girls in this tournament so far. We have strong players in every department. Our only target is to win the match,” said Rabbani at a press conference Thursday.
Meanwhile, Vietnam, who also have six points from the first two games, will face Lebanon in the morning game and if the east Asian side win the match against the host Sunday will be the championship-decider of the group.
