Barcelona have met with Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba to discuss a possible transfer, according to Tuttosport.
The World Cup winner is said to have met with technical secretary Eric Abidal in LA a few days ago.
Pogba has reportedly indicated that he wants to leave Old Trafford but United are in a position of strength as their player is under contract until 2021.
Abidal, meanwhile, was hired to allow the club to make more headway in the French transfer market.

Man Utd eye Zidane as Mourinho replacement

Manchester United are planning for life after Jose Mourinho by placing Zinedine Zidane at the head of a shortlist to replace the Portuguese, according to the Sun.
Mourinho has notoriously struggled in his third season at previous clubs and the Red Devils are already preparing for that eventuality this time around.
Zidane is a free agent after leaving Madrid at the end of last term, having won three straight Champions League titles at the Bernabeu.
Lazio will consider 'indecent' offers for Milinkovic-Savic
Lazio president Claudio Lotito said he never put star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic up for sale, though he would consider "indecent offers".
Milinkovic-Savic, 23, has been linked with Serie A holders Juventus, Champions League winners Real Madrid and Premier League giants Manchester United.

Moises Hernandez has returned to FC Dallas after the club announced that they had brought their former academy standout back to the club.
The defender returns after two seasons with Guatemalan power Comunicaciones.
Hernandez was the third homegrown player ever signed by FCD.

Paris Saint-Germain are not giving up their chase of Chelsea star N’Golo Kante, the Mirror reports.
The Blues have offered the midfielder a deal that will make him the best paid player on their squad, but PSG have the money to top that offer.
Having won the World Cup with France this summer, Kante has also been the Ligue 1 giant's top target since they brought manager Thomas Tuchel on board, even though the Premier League outfit are desperate to keep him.

Real Madrid have made approaches for Mohamed Salah and Harry Kane during this transfer window, claims El Pais.
After the loss of Cristiano Ronaldo, the end of their pursuit of Eden Hazard and having to deny approaches for Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, the European champions are looking for more star attackers to strengthen their attack.
Madrid sounded out Salah and Kane through intermediaries, but the Liverpool star is happy and committed to Liverpool after signing a new contract, while Kane was indifferent towards the Santiago Bernabeu team.
