"Manager (Kiron) called me a month ago and asked me to form a side. As I have been providing training facilities to 13 girls along with free accommodation at my house for the last few years, I formed the team in a short time. We became zonal champion last time. I don't know why we are not participating this time," Akbar told Dhaka Tribune Monday. Kiron, also the joint-secretary of Satkhira DFA, denied making any comment while its president, Sirajul Islam Khan couldn't be reached over phone despite repeated attempts. Akbar informed that eight of the football girls will be playing for Narail at the Khulna venue while five others will represent Khulna. Akbar will coach Narail, whose first match against Barguna is scheduled to be held Tuesday.
