Bangladesh are the favourite against Bhutan, who conceded a 3-0 defeat against India in the first match, but Bangladesh head coach Golam Rabbani Choton said they are not taking the opponent lightly and want to move forward match by match. With an aim to win and entertain, Tohura Khatun and Anuching Marma will be eying an improvement in their finishing skills while Maria Manda and Monika Chakma will continue to take the authority of midfield.

Bhutan head coach Sung Jea Lee, after their loss against India, acknowledged the strength of the Bangladesh squad and expects his team to face a tough battle against the confident home side. Following almost an empty gallery on the opening matchday, the BFF has decided to make the entry to the stadium free for the spectators. Meanwhile, India and Nepal will take on each other in the day's second game at 2:30pm. Bangladesh will play India in their last round-robin match Thursday.
