Bangladesh will leave here for Abu Dhabi today ahead of their upcoming 2018 Fifa World Cup second round qualifier away to Jordan, scheduled for March 24. The Bengal Tigers will depart at 9:45pm.
Before their World Cup qualifying match, Bangladesh will contest a Fifa international friendly against the UAE this Friday. The men in red and green are expected to leave for Amman, Jordan this Monday.
On the eve of their departure, the national footballers met Bangladesh Football Federation president Kazi Salahuddin at the BFF House yesterday morning. Team manager Satyajit Das Rupu and BFF vice president and development committee chairman Badal Roy were also present in the meeting.
Bangladesh currently sit bottom of Group B with only one point, earned against Tajikistan, from seven matches while Jordan are second with 13 points from a game less.
