JFA U14 Women’s Football begins today

The Japan Football Association Under-14 Women’s National Football Championship will get underway today at six different venues across the country following a three-year hiatus.

A total of 33 teams, split into six groups, will take part in the event. The six venues that will host the matches are – Rupsa (Khulna), Tista (Thakurgaon), Padma (Rajshahi), Surma (Mymensingh), Kapotakkho (Meherpur) and Buriganga (Faridpur).

Following the first round, which will be held according to the knock-out basis, six group champions along with the best runners-up side will join the hosts in the second round, making it an eight-team affair.

The JFA will provide $47,172 to organise the tournament.
