Bangladesh have whitewashed Pakistan in their three-match ODI series with a 8-wicket win in the last match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Chasing a total of 251, Bangladesh sealed a comprehensive 8-wicket victory with passionate Soumya Sarkar carrying hid bat through the innings, the fabulous 127 unbeaten runs.
Soumya piled 127 off 110 balls hitting 13 groundbreaking boundaries and six whirlwind maximums.
Chasing 251, openers Soumya Sarkar and Tamim Iqbal shared an excellent 145-run in the opening stand.
Tamim completed his 29th ODI fifty and this is the first time in the series that he was dismissed before scoring a hundred.
Although Mahmudullah went soon after, Sarkar carried on and completed his maiden ODI hundred. Mushfiqur Rahim then gave Sarkar good company and the duo took Bangladesh past the line to sweep the ODI series 3-0.
Although Junaid Khan picked up two wickets, he was very expensive. Umar Gul wasn't impressive in his comeback game either.
Tamim Iqbal sent back to the pavilion in a Junaid Khan delivery at 25th over and missed his third consecutive century.
Tamim scored 64 off 76 ball hitting eight fours and a maximum.
After the umpire’s decision, he sought a review straightaway. This was fuller and angled in, Tamim was hit on the knee-roll of the front pad in front of off.
However, Hawk-Eye showed that it would hit top of off. The on-field umpire's decision is vindicated. No hat-trick of centuries for Tamim.
After the fall of Tamim, Mahmudullah (4) was clearly bowled out in a magnetic delivery by Junaid.
The Bangladesh opening left-handed duo had initiated a solid chase effort with an unbeaten 118-run partnership.
The Tigers reached 81 without any loss in 16 overs, also put up another fearless batting display right from the outset of the chase.
Pakistan have scored 250 in 49 overs against Bangladesh.
Winning the toss, the visitors chose to bat first against the Tigers at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in capital's Mirpur on Wednesday.
Azhar Ali piled up the platform for Pakistan to push to a big total. He scored 101 off 112 hitting ten boundaries. A farcical collapse thereafter ensured them only made 250.
Two big stands - 91 for the first wicket between Azhar and Sami Aslam, and 98 for the third between Azhar and Haris Sohail - took Pakistan to 203 for 2 in the 39th over. They lost their last eight wickets for 47 runs.
Shakib Al Hasan, Arafat Sunny, Rubel Hossain and skipper Mashrafe Mortaza bagged two wicket each for Tigers and Nasir Hossain took one for Tigers.
