European University of Bangladesh emerged as champions in the 8th ULAB Fair Play Cup beating State University of Bangladesh by five wickets at the ULAB Ground, Mohammadpur, yesterday.
SUB batted first and posted 150 for five, a target that was easily achieved by EUB with five wiskets to spare. EUB’s Nahid Newaz Noyon was adjudged as the man of the final while Ashraful Zahid was named the best batsman.
ULAB’s Anujm Ahmed Jassy was named as player of the tournament while Izal Ahmed became the best fielder. The best bowler award was bagged by Nur-e-Alam Jannet of State University of Bangladesh.
Former cricketer and renowned commentator Ather Ali Khan distributed prizes as the chief guest while
Kazi Inam Ahmed, director, Bangladesh Cricket Board and ULAB Board of Trustees Member, Professor Imran Rahman, ULAB Vice Chancellor and Juditha Ohlmacher, ULAB Board of Trustees Member and Adviser, Communications and Student Affairs of ULAB were also present.
