Led by Mashrafe bin Mortaza, Bangladesh will be looking to put up a better show when they take on Australia XI in the second unofficial practice match before the World Cup at the Allan Border Field in Queensland today.
Two of the most experienced batsman in the Tigers line-up – Shakib al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim – along with Nasir Hossain and opener Anamul Haque also should make this opportunity count and return among the runs.
Tigers coach Chandika Hathurusingha, however, should be happy to see his quickies Rubel Hossain, Mashrafe and Taskin Ahmed amongst the wicket takers. Though his major concern should be with the spinners Taijul Islam and Arafat Sunny as the duo remained wicketless in the first warm-up.
However the spin department needs to gain the momentum after both the specialist spinners of the Tigers squadArafat Sunny and Taijul Islam remained wicket-less and were expensive.
