Shakib proves again in Big bash league

Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan's 4 wickets for 13 runs helped his team Melbourne Renegades to earn a comfortable five-wicket victory over Brisbane Heat in the Australian Big Bash League held on Tuesday at the Docklands Stadium in Melbourne. He was later adjudged the player of the match for his impressive bowling performance in the match.

The dependable all-rounder, who topped all three ICC formats, threatened early inroad on Brisbane Heat innings stumping Daniel Christian in the second ball of his first over and bowled Jason Floros in the next ball. He then caught Chris Lynn of his own ball and made Andrew Flintoff a run out. The Brisbane Heat were all out in 17.3 over for only 80 runs after they were forced to bat first by Melbourne Renegades. Chasing a facile target of 81 runs, Melbourne Renegades reached home for the loss of five wickets with 36 balls remaining. Shakib's Melbourne Renegades team will play their next match against Adelaide Strikers on January 19 at the Docklands Stadium in Melbourne.
