BCB president Nazmul Hasan briefed the media after visiting the former captain at United Hospital on Monday afternoon. “We took decision on Sunday night to send him abroad if possible. Doctors did MRI today and the report does not suggest anything severe. This is a good news thahe is responding better than yesterday. But he is not out of danger yet,” said Nazmul.
A specific reason behind sudden illness of Mahmud is yet to be known. “To be honest I dont know the reason of his illness. I met his brother and sister.
