Bangladesh to fight with a modest score

Bangladesh which eyed to compensate the loss of the previous match has ended up with only a modest score to fight with the tourist, Srilanka will chase 120 runs that the host reached striving with the subsequent fall of wickets.

Bangladesh made the score losing all wickets, with Amanul Haque topping among the batsmen with 24, Bangladesh finally collapsed in the twentieth over.

Frequent fall of wickets have waned Bangladesh’s chance to get to a good score as Bangladesh was lately striving with a score of 100 for the loss of 7.

Fall of Mahmudullah’s wicket in the eleventh over left Bangladesh in a complete slump of getting runs that disappointed the cheering crowd in the MA Aziz stadium in Chittagong, in the second T20 match of the series.

Mahmudullah was run out.

Nasir Hossain fell down in the eighth over. Nasir Hossain was caught in the palm of Chandimal, bowled by Mendis on his personal 8 runs.

The batting side looked aggressive in the beginning; however, spectacular catches by the Srilankan fielders messed up the battings side.

Shamsur Rahman and Tamim Iqbal opened the innings; Shamsur Rahman was out at Tillakaratne Dilshan’s fifth ball.

Shamsur Rahman was perished by slapping a catch to midwicket. Chandimal took the chest-high catch.

Nuwan Kulasekara, who shares the new ball, made dismissal of another opener Tamim Iqbal in the second over, both Bangladesh openers have fallen within eight balls of the start. Mendis took the catch of Tamim Iqbal from the deep point.

On the fourth over, Senanayake took the wicket of Shakib Al Hasan, a classic catch from Kulasekara at long-on.

Bangladesh had been scoring almost exclusively in boundaries in this frenetic T20 so far, but Kulasekara plucked the sensational catch at the boundary that sent Shakib back at a score of 12 at a strike rate that would double the number of balls he faced.

On the sixth over, Senanayake made Anamul Haque go at 24 making a catch to MDKJ Perera.
