Bangladesh begin their UAE ODI Tri-Series 2026 campaign against Zimbabwe at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
The match starts at 5:30pm Bangladesh time, with T Sports and Nagorik TV set to telecast it live.
The Tigers return to ODI action after three months, having played a T20 series against Zimbabwe in July before touring Australia for a Test series in August.
The three-team tournament also features Afghanistan, against whom Bangladesh played a one-off Test at the same venue earlier this week, with the match ending in a draw.
Bangladesh's last ODI was also against Zimbabwe, with the Tigers securing a seven-wicket victory after the hosts had already sealed the three-match series.
The two sides will meet at a neutral venue for the first time in 20 years.
While this will be Zimbabwe's first ODI at the Zayed Cricket Stadium, Bangladesh have played six matches at the venue, winning two.
The series will test the ODI credentials of the three teams, who are ranked between eighth and 11th in the latest ICC Men's ODI Team Rankings.
Bangladesh are targeting the title, with batter Mosaddek Hossain stressing the importance of winning both round-robin matches against their opponents.
"We want to win the trophy, definitely, but to do that, we have to win both the (round-robin) matches against Zimbabwe and Afghanistan."
Mosaddek also expressed hope that the players would adapt well to the conditions in Abu Dhabi.
"Our Test players adjusted to the heat pretty well. We have trained for a few days here so we hope there will be a bit of breeze in the evening, since the matches will start in the late afternoon," he said.
Zimbabwe and Afghanistan will face off in the second match on Monday, before Bangladesh take on Afghanistan on Wednesday. The final is scheduled for Friday.
