Bangladesh learned their opponent for the Asian Games 2026 cricket quarterfinals after Malaysia’s final Group B preliminary-round match against Oman was washed out by rain on Saturday.
Malaysia secured top spot in Group B and will face Bangladesh in the fourth quarterfinal at Korogi Athletic Park on Tuesday.
Group B runners-up Hong Kong will face Pakistan in the first quarterfinal on Monday.
Nepal and Afghanistan advanced to the quarterfinals from Group A.
Group winners Nepal will face Sri Lanka in the third quarterfinal on Tuesday, the same day Bangladesh take on Malaysia.
Afghanistan will play India in the other quarterfinal on Monday.
India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan had already secured direct entry to the quarterfinals based on their ICC rankings.
