Mustafizur, Nahid withdrawn from PSL return

Bangladesh’s pace duo Mustafizur Rahman and Nahid Rana have been withdrawn from the remainder of the Pakistan Super League 2026.

In a press release issued on Thursday, the Bangladesh Cricket Board said it had withdrawn the No Objection Certificate (NOC) previously granted to Mustafizur, ruling him out of the ongoing PSL.

The board also confirmed that Nahid will not be released for the tournament.

“This decision has been taken to allow him adequate time to prepare for the upcoming Test series against Pakistan next month,” the BCB said in a statement.

In the same release, the BCB added that following the conclusion of the third ODI against New Zealand national cricket team, the team’s medical staff reviewed Mustafizur’s condition.

It has been decided that the left-arm pacer will undergo an immediate scan to further assess his injury, after which he will begin a rehabilitation programme under the supervision of the BCB medical team.
