Nazmul Hasan Papon on Saturday emerged as the first elected president of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
He was voted by all of the 24 directors present in the election held at the National Sports Council, where two of the directors were absent.
Papon had no other contender in the election.
In an immediate reaction, Papon thanked all who voted to elect him and urged everyone in the cricket arena to cooperate with him in taking Bangladesh cricket to a higher level.
