The members of the ad-hoc committee of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) responded aggressively to objections raised against their president by the chairman of the cricket committee of Gazi Tank Cricket Club yesterday at the National Sports Council (NSC).
Jalal Yunus said that all the allegations made by Lutfor Rahman Badal against BCB president Nazmul Hasan were lies and based on personal issues.
“The chairman of the Gazi Tank Lutfor Rahman Badal allegations against BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon are completely false.
“In particular his claim about the umpires committee was very funny. If the umpires committee were influencing the umpires, then his (the president’s) own club would not suffer six defeats in seven encounters,” said Jalal.
Jalal went onto refute another claim about wrongdoing regarding the sponsorship of the BPL. “The sponsorship was decided by the previous committee. The current president has no hand in it.”
