Breaking the practice of playing one ODI outside Dhaka and the other two in the capital, Bangladesh will play all the three ODI’s against New Zealand in Dhaka.
The Kiwis are scheduled to reach Dhaka on October 1 and will play two Tests, three ODIs and a Twenty20 against the hosts. The visitors will fly to Chittagong, where the first Test will be held, right after their arrival to Dhaka.
The Kiwis will start their tour with a three-day warm-up game at Chittagong’s MA Aziz Stadium and then lock horns with the Tigers in the first Test at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium starting October 9.
The second Test will begin on October 26 at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium (SBNS). The first two ODIs will be played at the same venue on October 29 and 31 respectively. The last ODI of is scheduled to take place a Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium (KSOAS), Narayanganj on November 3.
The lone Twenty20 will likely be held at Sylhet Divisional Stadium on November 6, but the location has yet to be finalized as the International Cricket Council (ICC) has not yet approved the venue as being of international standard. If the venue fails gain ICC approval, the Twenty20 game will be held either at SBNCS or KSOAS.
The last time the Kiwis visited Bangladesh was in the 2010-11 season, just before the World Cup. There was a five match ODI series, which the hosts won 4-0.
