India set to tour Bangladesh in August for white-ball series

The Indian cricket team are set to tour Bangladesh in August this year for three one-day internationals and as many Twenty20 internationals.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board Tuesday made the official announcement of the home series through a media release.

Team India are scheduled to reach Dhaka on August 13 with the ODI series set to commence at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on August 17.

The first two ODIs will be held in Dhaka.

The second ODI will be played on August 20 while the third and final match will take place in Chittagong on August 23.

The three-match T20I series will get underway on August 26 at Bir Sreshtha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium in Chittagong and finish in Dhaka with the second and third games in Mirpur on August 29 and 31 respectively.

“This series promises to be one of the most anticipated events in our home calendar [this year]. India have set the benchmark in international cricket across all formats and the cricket-loving millions in both countries are sure to enjoy this contest,” said BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury to the media in Dhaka Tuesday.

“Bangladesh and India have played some very competitive matches in recent years, and I am confident that this will be another hard-fought and entertaining series,” he added.

The T20I series will be the first time Bangladesh will host India in a bilateral series at home.
