The District and Divisional Sports Forum urged the State Minister for Youth and Sports in a letter to take necessary have the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) operate under the National Sports Council (NSC) until the BCB elections take place.
The letter submitted by Forum president Yusuf Jamil Babu and Ashikur Rahman Miku said the Forum respects the verdict of the court and hopes the election of the BCB will be held in a true democratic atmosphere, but the recent comments of the current ad-hoc committee president and the other board members has made the scenario ridiculous and suggested that the election process may be unduly influenced by the ad-hoc committee.
The letter went on to say that under the prevailing circumstances it is necessary to place the BCB under the NSC, which should run all activities until the election process is completed.
