Veteran sports journalist, former acting president and senior member of Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association and news editor of ATN News [digital and new media] Aghore Mondal passed away Wednesday.
He breathed his last at a hospital in Dhaka.
The 58-year old Aghore is survived by his wife and two daughters.
Aghore had suffered from kidney and heart complications for a long time.
He lastly got infected by dengue and was under treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.
He was involved with journalism for more than three decades and had started his print media career at Bhorer Kagoj in the 1990s.
He then joined electronic media in early 2000s and played key roles for Channel i, Dipto TV and ATN News.
In 2017, Aghore was the acting president of BSJA.
