Bangladesh team Monday had their first training session in the ongoing tour of India at the home of IPL outfit Chennai Super Kings ahead of the first of two Test matches, starting this Thursday.
After landing in India Sunday, the Tigers went through their drills at MA Chidambaram Stadium with the aim of putting up a strong fight against the formidable Indians, who are yet to be beaten in a Test series at home for more than 4,000 days.
Bangladesh though will not be short of confidence after sweeping hosts Pakistan 2-0 recently, which was later praised by former India captain Sunil Gavaskar and famous commentator Harsha Bhogle, both of whom believe India need to bring their “A” game to resist the Tigers.
The two Tests will be followed by a three-match Twenty20 international series.
Bangladesh have never beaten India in Test format as they lost 11 out of 13 games between the two sides, with the remaining two Tests drawn, largely due to inclement weather.
