The medical department of the Bangladesh Cricket Board confirmed the matter Sunday.
Shakib has been suffering from eye problems since the World Cup.
He went to the doctor twice during the tournament.
The ace all-rounder was set to go to London after suffering similar problems during his Bangladesh Premier League training.
