Kiwis dismiss Tigers for 110 in third T20

A disciplined bowling performance by New Zealand saw Bangladesh get dismissed for 110 in the third and final Twenty20 international at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui Sunday.

Soumya Sarkar (four) was the first to depart and from there it was a procession as the Tigers lost wickets at regular intervals before getting all out in 19.2 overs.

Half the batters reached double digit with captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto top-scoring with 17 in a sorry batting card, but none were able to go on and make a significant contribution.

Skipper Mitchell Santner led the way for the Kiwi bowling attack with 4/16 while Adam Milne, Tim Southee and Ben Sears shared six wickets between them.

The men in red and green lead the series 1-0 after winning the first game in Napier Wednesday by five wickets, before Friday's second match was abandoned after 11 overs because of rain in Mount Maunganui.

The tourists are seeking their first series victory on New Zealand soil in any format.

Bangladesh made one change from the aborted second clash, with Tanvir Islam recalled in place of Tanzim Hasan Sakib.
New Zealand kept the same team that played each of the first two ties.

The Black Caps rested white-ball skipper Kane Williamson ahead of the home Test series against South Africa and Australia.
