Nahida nominated for November's ICC Player of Month award

Bangladesh left-arm spinner Nahida Akter has been nominated by International Cricket Council for November's Player of the Month award, alongside Pakistan spinner Anam Amin and the West Indies all-rounder Haley Matthews.

If Nahida wins the award, she will follow in the footsteps of Bangladesh cricketers Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib al Hasan who previously claimed the honors earlier this year in May and August respectively.

Nahida bagged 13 wickets in four ODIs - three away to Zimbabwe and the other against Pakistan in Harare during the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier - last month, with an economy rate of 2.22.

The 21-year old took 11 wickets in three Zimbabwe ODIs, including career best bowling figure of 5/21, and 2/25 against Pakistan as Bangladesh recorded a memorable win against their south Asian rivals.
