The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced a 15-member U-23 team for the ACC Emerging Team’s Cup, to be held in Singapore, yesterday.
The Emerging Team’s Cup is a one-day tournament which will be held from August 17-26. The U-23 sides of Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will take part in the competition, along with the national teams of Afghanistan, Nepal, Singapore and UAE.
The eight teams have been divided into two groups. Bangladesh is in Group B along with Sri Lanka U-23 and the national teams of UAE and Singapore. The U-23 sides from India and Pakistan and the national teams of Afghanistan and Nepal are in Group A.
The tourney will commence on August 17. Bangladesh will face Singapore in their opening game while they will play Sri Lanka U-23 the following day. Their third match of the tournament against UAE national side will be played on August 22.
The semi-finals and the final are scheduled on August 23 and 25 respectively.
