The West Indies were struggling with the bat in the middle period of the match as Bangladesh bowlers kept it tight and the boundaries had dried out.
Roston Chase was well set but was unable to score his runs at a good strike rate.
The Windies skipper Kieron Pollard was also struggling at the middle as he faced 16 deliveries and scored only eight runs.
After taking a single against Taskin Ahmed in the 13th over, Pollard surprisingly walked back to the pavilion as it did not seem like he was injured back then.
The score was 62 for three at that moment after 12.3 overs.
Perhaps Pollard thought as he could not connect the ball properly, someone like Andre Russell or Nicholas Pooran should take the charge.
In came Russell and it was a vital moment for the West Indies batting as he is considered as one of the fearsome strikers of the ball in recent years.
Russell was in the non-striker’s end as Taskin bowled a length delivery to Chase and he played a backfoot punch.
It was a good shot actually and Taskin made a brilliant effort while following through, managing to touch the ball slightly with his right foot.
And guess what, the ball hit the stumps and Russell was well out of the crease.
Taskin immediately erupted in joy and Russell was looking at the stumps with disbelief.
It was a crucial moment for Bangladesh as they got rid of the dangerous Russell without letting him face a ball.
