Bangladesh Cricket Board Saturday announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming Women's Twenty20 World Cup, slated for February 10-26 in South Africa.
The squad comprises four members – Disha Biswas, Marufa Akter, Dilara Akter and Shorna Akter - of the U-19 side currently in South Africa contesting the inaugural U-19 Women's T20 World Cup
One of the stars of the U-19 side, opening batter Afia Prottasha, failed to make the cut.
The Tigresses have been drawn in Group A alongside holders Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka.
The women in red and green will begin their campaign against the Lankans on February 12 in Cape Town, before taking on the Aussies two days later in Gqeberha.
Bangladesh will return to Cape Town to lock horns with New Zealand on February 17 before facing hosts South Africa in their last group stage game four days later.
The top two teams from Group A will qualify for the semi-finals in the eighth edition of the Women's T20 World Cup.
Bangladesh will depart for Cape Town Monday for a training camp before they meet Ireland in two practice matches.
The Tigresses will then play against Asian rivals Pakistan and India in warm-up games scheduled for February 6 and 8 respectively.
