U-19 star to watch out for: Shorna Akter

Shorna Akter has been vital in the middle-order for Bangladesh not only in the ongoing U-19 Women's Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa, but also the two warm-up games leading up to the world event, remaining unbeaten in all four innings.

Shorna Akter is an all-rounder who bowls leg-break and bats in the middle-order.

The 16-year old was born in 2007 and hails from Jamalpur.

Shorna is in sublime form and still to be dismissed in the tournament and the two warm-up games.

She played four unbeaten innings so far, scoring 20 off 21 against South Africa in the first warm-up, 78 off 42 against India in second warm-up, 23 off 18 against Australia and 50 off 28 against Sri Lanka.
